## Test Environment Setup

### Prerequisites

1. **PostgreSQL Test Database**
   ```bash
   createdb platform_test
   ```

2. **MinIO Test Instance**
   ```bash
   docker run -p 9000:9000 -p 9001:9001 \
     -e MINIO_ROOT_USER=minioadmin \
     -e MINIO_ROOT_PASSWORD=minioadmin \
     minio/minio server /data --console-address ":9001"
   ```

3. **Redis Test Instance**
   ```bash
   docker run -p 6379:6379 redis:latest
   ```

4. **Environment Variables**
   Create `.env.test`:
   ```env
   TEST_DB_HOST=localhost
   TEST_DB_PORT=5432
   TEST_DB_USER=test
   TEST_DB_PASSWORD=test
   TEST_DB_NAME=platform_test
   TEST_MINIO_ENDPOINT=localhost
   TEST_MINIO_PORT=9000
   TEST_MINIO_ACCESS_KEY=minioadmin
   TEST_MINIO_SECRET_KEY=minioadmin
   TEST_REDIS_HOST=localhost
   TEST_REDIS_PORT=6379
   TEST_REDIS_DB=1
   ```

## Key Test Patterns

### 1. Mocking External Dependencies
```typescript
const mockStorageService = {
  initMultipartUpload: jest.fn(),
  generatePresignedUrls: jest.fn(),
  completeMultipartUpload: jest.fn(),
};
```

### 2. Testing Authorization
```typescript
it('should forbid non-owner from updating policy', async () => {
  await expect(
    service.updateDownloadPolicy(trackId, policy, 'different-user-id'),
  ).rejects.toThrow(ForbiddenException);
});
```

### 3. Testing Async Flows
```typescript
it('should trigger MP3 transcoding if not ready', async () => {
  transcodeRepository.findOne.mockResolvedValue(null);
  mp3Queue.add.mockResolvedValue({} as any);
  const result = await service.generateDownloadUrl(trackId, userId, ip);
  expect(result.status).toBe('processing');
  expect(mp3Queue.add).toHaveBeenCalled();
});
```

### 4. Testing Concurrent Operations
```typescript
it('should handle concurrent uploads', async () => {
  const requests = Array(5).fill(null).map(() =>
    service.initMultipartUpload(dto, userId)
  );
  const results = await Promise.all(requests);
  expect(results).toHaveLength(5);
});
```

## Security Tests

### Input Validation
- ✅ SQL injection prevention (parameterized queries)
- ✅ Path traversal prevention (filename sanitization)
- ✅ File type validation
- ✅ File size limits
- ✅ SHA256 integrity checks

### Authorization
- ✅ Owner-only operations
- ✅ JWT authentication
- ✅ Resource ownership verification
- ✅ Download policy enforcement

### Privacy
- ✅ IP address hashing (SHA256)
- ✅ User data isolation
- ✅ Private track access control

## Performance Tests

### Concurrent Operations
- ✅ 10 concurrent GET requests (<5s total)
- ✅ Concurrent uploads (no conflicts)
- ✅ Concurrent downloads (history tracking)
- ✅ Concurrent stem operations

### Database Queries
- ✅ Eager loading (1 query vs N queries)
- ✅ Index usage verification
- ✅ Transaction batching
